The dinner was small (midnight departure) and I am very hungry. Feed the Amy, airline! Feed me!
Alas.
I must content myself with cheaply purchased wifi instead.

a) they don't want people taking their face masks off to eat?
b) they're trying to cut costs given how much COVID cost airlines in lost revenue?

Date: 2022-01-21 03:28 pm (UTC)Part of it was the length and timing of that particular flight - 14+ hours. The stretch between "we feed you 1.5-2.5 hours after takeoff, and 1 hour before landing" was loooong. Then it was a midnight departure, so the first meal was the small one, a supper; the "large" meal with more choice was breakfast.
But they did seem to have one fewer little plastic tub per plate on BOTH meals than they had for the outbound flight. I suspect supply shortages, rather than cost-cutting.
