Well yes, obviously the diocese would be Very Stupid if they appointed a gay minister over a conservative church. But they have, set up in the church structure, the *power* to do so, and so it's understandably scary for the conservatives...
meanwhile. i am the only one at home, even the cat has been locked in the back room because she was vomiting all morning (ON MY BED!!!!!!) and i am BORED AND HAVE NO-ONE TO TALK TO EXCEPT THE INTERNET (and my thesis). *sob*
seriously, i have hardly spoken to anyone (in person) except my housemates for ages, it seems.... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh slowly going maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.....
p.s. in case you have been fretting about me (and i'm sure you have been), just thought i'd let you know that i am now HAPPY having phoned my granny and had a lovely chat! :D
No one to talk to is a terrible state of affairs. When do you hand the blasted thing in? We should have another study date like thing, in the interests of you not going man?
I like question marks?
Also, phoning granny sounds like a wonderful option. Wish I had helpful and reassuring grandparents.
yes very eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. but on the plus side she hasn't pooed in the shower *all day*! even though she was locked out the back - usually she seems to take revenge by pooing in the shower when she's stuck out there.
it's due on 29 may - i'd love a study date but suspect i might get more done if i stay home :(
who knows, going mad could be fun? (and of course going 'man' is my aim in life :P )
well, if you ever need it, i'm happy to pretend to be your granny. i'll tell you all about how my body is falling to pieces! actually it sounds pretty sucky, the whole being old and everything just stops working thing... although at least granny did seem quite cheery. are your grandparents still around, or just grumpy?
you're dimming my enthusiasm for all things feline.
true, true. and one's efforts at masculinity are no doubt increased by avoiding Women's College ;)
yes, I still have a full complement of grandparents. (well, actually, one grandfather hasn't been seen since before mum was born, so he doesn't count) One grandmother is grumpy, paranoid and insular. The other is grumpy, and foul in every respect. The grandfather is lovely, but is not allowed to answer telephones, thanks to paranoid grandmother. They've got to the separate bedrooms stage, after fifty bloody year's of marriage.
NO! the poor thing is the VICTIM of a STUPID internet FAD! she'll be teased mercilessly at school! be ashamed when she's an old cat and the internet has moved on!

Date: 2008-05-18 01:57 pm (UTC)it can be forgiven all sins. That's awesome.
My grandparents are all mad. My great-grandmother, by all accounts, was a saint, but then, she's dead, many dead people were fabulous.
